Beauty of Leaves

The idea behind this triptych was taking three photos of three singular leaves that stood out to me in colour. I find the title also helps point that out.
The idea of triptychs is three photos associated with each other, the three leaves although different in colour are all pictured closely, and are all holding water from rain. I think it was executed swell.
An Element of art I used in this triptych is texture. The close up visual of the damp almost smooth leaves is appealing to the eye.
A Principal of Design I used was variety. The three photos having three different and vibrant colours at that really makes them each stand out in their own way
A Rule of Photography I used is fill the frame. once again the lack of empty space in the photo draws the viewer eye closer to the main details.
Mini Miley

In this triptych I took three pictures that make it seem my cat Miley is moving her head throughout each photo
Going back to the meaning of triptych photos, they can be three associated photos or three photos that when put together create a story. I feel I successfully made it look as though Miley is looking towards the camera as the photos progress
An Element of Art I used is space. I took close up photos of Miley which limited the background that could have been seen and puts more focus on her.
A Principal of Design I used is emphasis. Because of how little background there is it brings way more focus to the subject and adds more interest
A Rule of Photography used is simplification. As previously mentioned because of the subjects placement in the photos it removes unneeded space and distraction letting the viewer focus on what is meant to be focused on.
The Demise

The idea behind this Triptych came from seeing the shape of a body taped out on the floor, I managed to convince the subject to lay in place to create a type of crime scene.
The point of Triptychs is to have a series of three photos that relate to each other, whether it just be related or all together they tell a story. I feel it was successful but could have been better.
I suppose an Element of Art I used is depth. Throughout the three photos the angle and distance from the subject changes, creating depth.
I used proximity a bit as a principal of design as I used distance and angles from the subject to make it fit the scene more.
A rule of photography I used is Rule of thirds. I used this again in the angles the photos were taken, the subject is not completely center in any of the photos adding more to all the photos.
