I took these photos trying to emphasize my subject youthful beauty but also melancholy as even she yearns for the times she had when she was younger

Light Shower - Melanie Martinez

I took these photos while actually listening to Light Shower through my headphones. Light shower comes from an album dedicated to a very beautiful fantasy, nature, other worldly type of aesthetic. Melanie's songs have a way of sucking you deep into the vocals and instrumentals, the songs vibe felt exactly like what the sky around me at the time looked. The sky can be so beautiful it feels otherworldly and that is exactly what the song encapsulates.

I took these photos while on a field trip with my Spanish class just before winter break. I took many photos but these ones in particular reminded me the most of Christmas. I chose Its Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas specifically because this Christmas didn't really feel like Christmas up until this trip which I felt perfectly fit the song.
