An element of art in this photo is lines. The subject is framed in between the light sticks which directs the eye to the her. A principle of design that applies to the photo is balance. Although on an angle, the subject is balanced in between the light sticks which are aligned in the frame of the picture. A rule of photography is framing. Winter and spring
An element of art in this photo is texture. The texture difference in the grass and the frost visible on each blade creates a unique photo to observe up close. A principle of design this photo displays is space, the subject takes up the entire photo, there isn't a single dead space throughout the entire photo. This makes the viewer feel engulfed in the photo as though they are apart of the photo. That leads me to the rule of photography, a rule of photography in this photo is filling the frame. As I mentioned the entire frame is filled with the subject, not a blank space in sight.
Ground and Sky
An element of art in this photo is space. Only a small portion of the frame is full adding an almost void like feeling to the photo. A principle of design is emphasis as the amount of blank space in the photo emphasizes the treelined mountains in the bottom of the frame. A rule of photography is simplify, although there isn't much in the photo that's what adds so much more to the photo. Giving it a certain aesthetic and vibe.
Tall and Short
An element of art in this photo is lines, the pole leads upwards alongside the first subject while also being a piece of the subject itself. A principle of design used in this photo is emphasis, the pure white background against the darker shades of the subjects makes them pop and gives the photo less clutter. A rule of photography in the photo is leading lines, the pole leads up the frame outlining not only itself but the subject leaning up against it.
